This game is really addicting. It's just one of those games that you jump into and try your best to survive. It's awesome and I love every second of it.. A spot on roguelite shooter that's got just the right amount of challenge. Polygod is honestly the game I've been unknowingly searching for, for quite some time now. Polygod is a breath of fresh air from the norm of modern games it takes me back to the likes of games like space station silicon valley and having played rogue-likes and other games similar to this its really captivating and endearing. Having 80+ hours in risk of rain I'm sure I'll be putting just as much if not more time into this game. It's a beautiful game with great mechanics, clever upgrade systems, and a very unique art style that almost has a dreamy look to it. Am looking forward to the future of this game and am hoping that playing with friends is just as fun if not more fun than single player.. Good little game for the cost!It could use a few more features but for $4 you cant go wrong!If you like Polygod check out Eldritch. It costs a bit more ($16) but plays like a more polished version of Polygod.. Ah yes. A cool concept! I like games that try to experiment!Let me be a bit harsh here, this game is clearly in EA. Why is that?1. Ran into a glitch where shooting my pistol was actually impossible. Actually. Pressed every button on my keyboard and mouse. Jumped a few times sure, but no pew pew here.2. Maps are procedurally generated! Kinda. Remember No Man's Sky? Procedural generation is very very very lacking in most games for a simple reason: Not enough assets. That could be for a number of reasons. Like, budget, time, lack of staff, etc. In which case, I'd rather 10 fully functional, fully explorable and interesting levels to run through, than 100 different procedurally generated slightly different levels with nothing but run and gun to the goal.My tips to make me wanna come back:1. Add a tutorial. Something to explain even the super simple basics. Jumping straight in is a bit much for a game of this genre.2. Control/Keymapping. I'm sure the whole "I can't pew pew these enemies" may have just been on my end of the system. So adding functionality to force certain buttons to do certain things by user choice is a definite way to ensure that can't happen. At least, not as often in the case code breaks or something.3. Add more variety, and less bullet-hell styled enemies but rather enemies that can do things like slow you down, or teleport around forcing you to watch your back, or anything else with unique patterns to look out for. It'll definitely add more time and money to work in, but might be worth it.The boss fight was kinda cool, at least from what I saw. I did get frustrated from being unable to shoot anything, and underwhelmed at the content i saw, despite how little. So to some or even a lot of people, my hourage may not seem worthy of writing such a review. I get that. So devs, keep up the good work, you've got a gem here, it needs polishing, it needs more content, and a more streamlined system, but I actually think it could turn into something cool. I'd like to play the finished product. For now, dig that gem outta the stone.. Couldn't get one Co-op game going :( game crashes or stuck at menu when joining servers.. Just playing this for first time, seems v cool. Very unique feeling and rooms (apparently random generated). HIgh level of difficulty at first experience. Like the music too. Recommend.. For being a game I got for free, this is great! I'm not very far into it yet, but with how it is so far, I think it would be worth the $10 as is, and there's still going to be improvements!+Interesting upgrade system+Interesting levels+Varied enemies+Things you can talk to! (Different speech if you hit them!)~Movement seems a bit iffy to me, especially midair~graphics are nothing special, but aren't ugly either~Certain upgrades make others useless (although the 1 that really does this is kinda the 'noob upgrade')-The ones you can talk to don't seem all that interesting-Weapon, although upgradable, is still the same weapon-Overall, game feels a bit barebones. To be expected since it's in early accessSo far I'd say the game is okay as is, and, with some work, could become very good. Can't wait to see how this one turns out!. Although it's obviously not a completely finished product, Polygod is already tons of fun and the devs have been releasing updates to improve the game frequently. Knowing how much fun this game is, I would've been happy to purchase it had I not recieved it for free.WARNING: The game gets super difficult pretty early on.
